Since July 2019, there have been a number of changes you need to be aware of - as an employer and as a worker.
Highlights:
- 01 July 2019 minimum wage increased by 3% for most awards
- 21 August 2019 new ruling on Part Time personal/carer's leave. This is a big one as the Federal Court has ruled that part time employee are entitled to 10 working days and based on normal working hours. Personal leave is no longer accrued on a pro-rate basis based on hours.
- All employees have the right to request flexible working arrangements.
- Fair Work Information Statement must be given or emailed to all new employees.
