After the whirlwind of Xerocon Brisbane 2025—plus all the glittering pre and post events—I hit pause. A caravan escape and a week of staycation gave me the space to digest everything and reconnect with my family and non-accounting friends. And wow, there was a lot to digest.

Xerocon is never just a conference aka "Coachella for Accountants & Bookkeepers". It’s a convergence of minds, hearts, and apps. It’s where bookkeepers, accountants, and industry professionals gather not just to learn, but to reconnect. This year, that reconnection felt electric.

💡 Innovation Meets Intention

I dove into workshops exploring Xero’s potential future developments, and soaked up fresh perspectives on AI and automation. Yes, there was some apprehension in the air—but for me, it was thrilling. These tools aren’t here to replace us. They’re here to help us do better—for our micro and small business clients, for our communities, and for ourselves.

The new Partner Hub and Jax’s integration with ChatGPT? Game-changers. They signal a future where access, insight, and impact are amplified. We’re not being replaced—we’re being recharged.

Bookkeepers and accountants across Australia had just weathered another tough EOFY. Xerocon became our celebration of resilience. The smiles, the laughter, the energy—it was infectious. We weren’t just surviving. We were thriving, together and excited for the future developments.

My hope? That all these tools, connections, and ideas can work in harmony to streamline our workflows and reduce stress—for us and for the business owners we support.

Who would’ve thought we’d be dancing with Dragon at 9am and hearing from Bluey creator Joe Brumm before lunch? His advice—“Do what you know”—hit home. It’s why Rainforest Bookkeeping continues to specialise in small and micro businesses. That’s our rhythm. That’s our rainforest.

If that doesn’t sum up the heart, soul, and joy of this profession, I don’t know what does.” Yes, we did. Loudly. Proudly.
